This professional mail-in service provides a 1-to-1 clone of your faulty Bosch MED17.2 Engine Control Unit (DME). This hardware is the precursor to the MEVD series and is found in the early second-generation turbocharged MINI Coopers. We transfer all critical security data—including the Individual Serial Number (ISN), VIN, and vehicle-specific coding—from your original ECU to a donor unit.
Result: A 100% Plug & Play solution. Your car will start and run with the donor unit immediately upon installation. No dealer programming, no expensive software syncing, and no key relearning required.

This service applies to the Bosch MED17.2 hardware used in turbocharged MINI models equipped with the N14 engine:
MINI Cooper S Hatchback (R56): 1.6L N14 Engine (2007–2010)

⚠️ TECHNICAL NOTE: The MED17.2 is specifically for the N14 engine (easily identified by the spark plug wires being visible under a plastic cover). If your MINI is a 2011+ "facelift" model with the N18 engine, it uses the MEVD series. Always verify the part number on your ECU sticker starts with MED17.2.
📦 MAIL-IN INSTRUCTIONS
Donor Unit: You must supply a replacement ECU with a matching Bosch part number (found on the sticker, typically starting with 0 261 S04... or 0 261 S05...).
